As children we
Wanted the thrill of a ride
The rush of danger
We wanted to climb to the top
And the plunge to the bottom
The sharp twists and turns
We sought this out
With such a vengeance
We begged and cried to be allowed
We loved the thrill
Relished the challenge
Enjoyed the rush of danger
If only we could keep
That spirit alive and recognize
We are on the best ride ever
If we could face life

Brought out of the darkness
For what it really is
The best and longest ride
of my mind
