Hi! I attended the first ever "Chris Cornell" show earlier tonight, and I'm still hyped! WOW! He sounds incredible!!! The theater, part of Harvard University, was beautiful and full of adoring Chris fans. He opened with "Sunshower," then went into "Can't Change Me." The band playing with him included Natasha
Schneider and Alain Johannes of "11," Greg Upchurch on drums, and... sorry, but I can't remember the bass player's name. They played just about
everything from the upcoming album and the crowd was appreciative, but the room really came alive when the went into "Like Suicide." Chris looks and sounds great, and the songs are all intense and lyrical, some more
rock-oriented, some a little more bluesy, all Chris. I was slightly disappointed that he didn't pick up a guitar all evening, even when performing "Seasons" from the "Singles" soundtrack (which he's never performed live before)... Alain played all the guitar parts. His wife attended the show (news I could have done without as I sat there fantasizing!) and he mentioned that the song "Moonchild" was written for/about her. He received several standing ovations, and performed "All Night Thing" from the "Temple of the Dog" album during the encore. I was completely enthralled with the music and that golden voice all evening. The only disappointments were that fact that he didn't play guitar and that the
show only lasted a little over and hour. But Chris is still a force to be reckoned with, and I can't remember ever seeing a singer who sounded so amazing live. (Of course, he's had lots of time off to rest!)-JCPose44

Fan Review: The show was absolutely incredible! Chris Cornell played for a
sellout crowd who couldn't get enough! I am a huge Chris Cornell fan and
have followed and loved Soundgarden all the way up to the breakup of the
band....and apparently, everyone at the show felt the same way. I can't say
that I have ever been to a show where, and I am not exaggerating, EVERYONE in
the audience sang along to every word of every song. It was great! Chris
has never been better live! I have seen Soundgarden several times over the
years in small and large venues, and although the sets were never
disappointing, there was never much band-audience participation. Chris' solo
show was the exact opposite of a typical Soundgarden show. He would talk to
the audience between each song and seemed to be genuinely having a great
time. He really made you feel as though he was playing just for you. I have
never gotten that from a show before. His sound was superb and he
suprisingly played older songs that I didn't expect to hear.
