How Justin got started: Justin always entertained family and friends at an early age. However, Justin really got his start on Star Search around 1991, which took place in Miami. Though Justin didn't win (he got 3 1/2 stars), his mom found out about Mickey Mouse Club (MMC)and auditions were near his home town in Nashville. Justin didn't know whether he would make it because so many kids tried out, but his talent was superior and he was one of the kids chosen for MMC.
