This section of my page was made in order to, however humbly, recognize one of the greatest (and unfortunately, least recognized) role-playing adventure games ever created. The game I refer to is Paladin's Quest (originally released in Japan as Lennus by Asmik in 1992), released by Enix for the Super Nintendo Entertaiment System in 1993.

The adventure takes place in the small but fantastic world of Lennus, a world filled with magical spirits, monsters and mystery (boy, that's a lot of M's).
Paladin's Quest is the story of the wondrous misadventures of Chezni, a 13-year-old student of the great Magic School in Naskuot, the northern continent of Lennus' land Hemisphere. Chezni had always been a natural when it comes to the Spirits (magic), but although he is the top student in his class, he is often regarded by his peers as a teacher's pet and a goody-goody.
Legends told that the Magic School was built from the remains of an high civilization that was mysteriously wiped out by some terrible disaster, 10,000 years ago. It was also said that a great secret from those ancient times was locked away in the Tower of Gabnid, in the east wing of the Magic School; a secret known only to the Master of the Magic School, the wise ones of Lennus, and the omniscient Immortals of Raiga, who were rumored to live across the Sea.
Everyone at the Magic School and the neighboring town of Ratsurk knew of these legends, and that entering the Tower of Gabnid was strictly forbidden. Knowing this, some of Chezni's fellow students cornered him after class one day, and taunted him into climbing the Tower on a dare, to discover what was at the top. There it was that he found, at the top of the Tower, in a room darkened by thousands of years, a strange hand-shaped cavity in the center of what appeared to be the control panel of a machine. Not knowing what would happen if he did it, Chezni put his hand to the cavity and pressed it.
Little did Chezni know that by doing this, he was activating the ancient machine of destruction, Dal Gren! The sound of engines warming up and gears turning began to fill the stuffy room, and hundreds of lights began to shine everywhere. Then a huge shadow clouded all, and Chezni fainted away.
He awoke the next morning to find himself lying on the ground beside the Tower. Picking himself up, he looked around, only to behold a vision of horror.... with the exception of the Tower of Gabnid, the entire Magic School had been smashed into rubble, and all of students and faculty were dead everywhere! All were gone, save one, the Master of the Magic School, who had returned from his business in Ratsurk. The Master, seeing that only Chezni remained, knew that Chezni was responsible for the destruction of the school and the reactivation of Dal Gren. The Master explained that unless something was done fast, Dal Gren would gain enough power to destroy all of Lennus! There was nothing else that the Master could do; Chezni started the machine, and so it was up to Chezni and to find a way to stop it.
