This section is dedicated to the words of a guy I met at my first place of employment, James Meany. Jim was in his early thirties, but looked aged a little bit beyond his years. He was probably the first person to get me to open my eyes and think a little (he once told me that I was the only 17-year-old kid he knew that wasn't an idiot; despite all the wedgies he gave me, he was a pretty nice guy), he introduced me to The Catcher in the Rye, Allen Ginsberg and Noam Chomsky, he used to drink a lot (sometimes coming into work red in the face and smelling of alcohol), dropped acid every now and again, and wrote his own brand of "poetry", often while tripping. Jim told me that he would someday collect all of his writings and give them to me so that I could publish them, since he knew I liked his stuff. I only have a few of his poems, but I thought it'd be cool to post them here anyway.
A word of warning, though.... public readings of these at bookstores caused old women in the audience to leave, disgusted; so some may find the following poems (like just about everything else on my page) a bit abrasive or offensive or whatever, so don't read them if you think you might not like them. And don't get all pissed off at me about the subject matters or whatever else about these poems, or anything else on this page for that matter; you're the one who chose to view them, and anyway you've been warned. Click here if you think you might be offended by the usage of someone's right to free speech.
So Jim, if you're reading this, don't come to kill me or anything, this one's for you.
