The world has many eyes
Some fair, some fell
Sometimes
When I’m riding around
The eyes all seem to be focused on me
Even my own
And sometimes
My curiosity gets the better of me
I ask myself:
”When they look my way
What are they seeing?”
In my mind
I know what I see:
Big
Strong
Larger than life
Hell’s Angel
Road Warrior
A living dermograph
On a big ass cycle
Tearing up the street
Einstein, Van Gogh and Mel Gibson
Rolled into one
Women want me
Men fear me
And I am omniscient
Yes
I know everything
Because I am everything
I am your lord
And you are all my humble, unworthy subjects
Hahahaha!!
Whereas, in the real world
If I’m even acknowledged
They probably just see some skinny little prick
Riding a Trek bike with a low front tire
Pedaling his ass off
As if someone like him really has somewhere important to go anyway
Oh well
