Untitled #2

UNTITLED #2

9:10 p.m.
Saturday night
Man
If I had a nickel
For every night spent waiting for someone to call
Pacing around the room as if I’m on speed
Waiting for some kind of human contact
I’d be a fucking multi-billionaire
Not gonna let it drain me tonight
The rest of the world can kiss my ass for a change
I’m gonna go out
Clear my head
Walk
On this fine autumn evening
That’s always done it in the past, so why not now
So
As the mighty Schwartzenegger says:
I’ll be back

Later:
11:18 p.m.
Walked over to Matt’s to see if he was home
Clear, cool autumn night
Bright, full moon starting to wane
No wind
Gotta love it
Planned to go and see if my friend Tamara was still living in the same place
The “old neighborhood”
2451 Olivera
The first place I’ve called home since I was Oregone
Sure, it wasn’t the greatest place
It was small
Dingy
Heater rarely worked
You could hear someone getting a glass of water a few doors down
I almost lost my mind there once
Banging my head on the walls and screaming at them
But it was home
Probably still would be if not for the crazy old bag living downstairs
Oh well
Would have been cool to walk down that way
To go by the 7-11 on the corner
Where I would often go to get my non-brain food in the middle of the night
But Matt was home
So I hung out over there for a bit
Came back and here I am
Feeling just fine

Don’t waste your time lying in wait
Don’t always count on others
Time is precious
Use it to its fullest
Make it yours
Make it real
Make it happen
