Welcome To My World is the first official webpage that I have created. The page is basically about me and my favorite artists (mainly Janet). I created the page as a project in my Internet Publishing class and it had information on me, Music World, the Janet Jackson Appreciation Page, and Cool Links as sections you could explore. Welcome To My World recieved rave reviews from my peers and my teacher was impressed with my web skills (I got an A in that class). Later on, I decided to show the world (wide web) my grand technological accomplishment. So I opened up Welcome To My World to the public on Geocities.
It was a crisp autumn night on November 2, 1997, when I first was enamored by the made-for-TV movie Cinderella. The songs in the movie were beautiful and they just entranced me. After the movie was over, I watched it on tape for about 3-4 months. During that time I was thinking about how there weren't any sites dedicated solely to the movie. So I decided to do something about it and create the Cinderella Lyrics Page which later transformed into the Cinderella Movie Page when I realized that I could be the first one (and the only one) to create a site about the movie--it was the perfect opportunity.
Foreverjanet is the first website in which I had a predestined, calculated plan. I wanted it to be great, look great and represent Janet to the utmost. Originally, I had a webpage on Welcome To My World entitled the Janet Jackson Appreciation Page, but I thought that the name didn't have an original, unique vibe to it. Therefore, during spring/summer 1998 I held a poll at Welcome To My World and encouraged people to choose a name for my next Janet website. The choices I had were Diamonds- Janet Jackson Online, Forever Yours- The Janet Jackson Website, and the original title the Janet Jackson Appreciation Page. Over 200 votes were counted, and a winner was chosen. It was Forever Yours. I wasn't quite fond of the title so I decided to call it Foreverjanet- The Janet Jackson Website After that, I went on a huge promotional campaign and on December 1st I finally opened Foreverjanet. During the first month of its opening, the site recieved over 1,000 hits! The site will constantly be updated and showcase new styles in HTML designs.
The Kelis Fan Site is the largest, most comprehensive, fan site on the internet dedicated to everyone's favorite "Thunder B***h", Kelis. I decided to create the Kelis Fan Site since there was a void in representation of her on the web. Her debut album Kaleidoscope was amazing and I didn't want my liking for that album to go unnoticed, so I decided to do something about it and create a website. It is the first website to debut from Perfect Vision in the 21st Century and will not be the last.
