Brock:
He has rock pokemon, so bulbasaur with vinewhip or a squirtle with bubble would do him in easily. If you started with charmander, then I would recommend butterfree with the confusion attack.
Misty:
She holds water pokemon. I would recommend an Ivysaur. If you dont have one, you should have a pikachu. If you dont have either, the butterfree with confusion or a rattata or raticate with hyper fang would do well.
Lt. Surge:
He has electric pokemon. I would use geodude, or graveler or diglett or dugtrio. Also ivysaur would work good here. If you have none of those, use a raticate or a high level charmeleon. I think also a nidorino or nidorina would work good here.
Erika:
She has grass pokemon. This is where charmeleon would come in handy. Also pidgeotto or some sort of ice type. The bugs work good here also, so beedrill, butterfree whatever would work. If you have NONE of those at all, then you need some more training!
Sabrina:
She holds psychic types. What can I say. A haunter, butterfree, beedrill, only ghost and bugs work here. Maybe high level charizards, blastoises, venusaurs,pidgeots, they would work, but Sabrina is in my opinion the toughest gym leader of them all.
Koga:
None of the starting would work good here, only if they were at high levels though. OTher wise, a PSYCHIC or GHOST type would off this fool in a second. He carries poison.
Blaine:
A fiery gym trainer, in which blastoise, gyarados, any water type would do. Or rock or ground would also do well. If u have none of those, which is hard to believe, you should use a psychic. Also, try to get a legendary bird or 2 in here.
Giovanni:
Grass, water, rock, ice, all work good against ground, which is what he carries.
ELITE FOUR AND GARY
Lorelie:
This icy trainer carries ice and water. A raichu with thunder bolt and thunder would of these fools. Or any electric or grass. Jynx, well, he could be dealt with a charizard at level 60, or a ninetales.
Bruno:
A high level water, preferbly gyarados, since hes strong against both fighting and water. If u have blastoise only, use a flying to take care of hitmonchan,lee, and machamp.
Agatha:
A ghost and poison carrier, psychic would mess this old wench up easily.
Lance:
The hardest for me. Electric could take out gyarados and aerodactyl, but others, I would use someone that has hyperbeam, like gyarados, aerodactyl, snorlax, dragonite, whatever.
Gary:
He has different teams depending on who you picked. If you picked squirtle, he has gyarados, arcanine, and venusaur. If you picked bulbsaur, he has gyarados, exegcutor, and charizard. If you picked charmander, he has arcanine, exeggcutor, and blastoise, (I think)
Use whatever, since he has a combo of all. his first 3 are always:Pidgeot, alakazam, and rhydon.
