Food Packing for the Needy - For the Salvation Army!

First there were just a few, getting started on the first of the boxes.

Then more arrived. Including our Troop, Troop 413, Ventures 413, and a class of students from Hanford West.

Pretty soon there were more than 40 people making a massive assembly line!

Mountains of canned food was taken from storage boxes to be mixed into white Salvation Army boxes in the form of family meals.

Tommy and the guys could handly stact the boxes as fast as the assembly line moved!

This wall of packaged meals looks big?!? It is actually 4 layers deep, and totaled well over 500 in number!! Before distributing, the Salvation Army will add a Foster Farms Fryer to each one. When they are given to needly families they will be accompanied by toys and clothes for the family members.

Hundreds of supply boxes had to be crushed for recycling. That was a major job in itself!

Pizza had been arranged, thanks to a local donor, for the exhausted workers!
Now that is the way to give Christmas Spirit! (After all, the Greatest Gifts are those where nothing is expected in return!)
