Tyler Booth's
Eagle Scout Project

Making a sign for a Park in the City of Hanford
Earl F. Johnson Park - Aug. 1998

Special funding was secured and Tyler worked with City planners and engineers to modify Northeast corner of the park. Being on one of Hanford's busiest streets the plan was to create a sign that the City of Hanford would be proud of!

Construction started by creating forms for the concrete sign. Tyler handles the saw and gets help from Clint to some of the assembly.

Tyler, other Scouts and the City combined forces to get the site preparation done.

Trevor cuts the letters out of styroform blocks to create forms that match city specifications.

Kevin, Tyler, and Nathan prepare the form for rebar and concrete.

Waiting for the crane truck and forklift.

Eric and Trevor help with the landscaping part of the project.

What an accomplishment!

Tyler graduated from the engineering dept. at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is currently working for PG&E as an Environmental Engineer at their corporate office in San Francisco.
