~~** Candi's apartment, 8.30am **~~
Candi's P.O.V. -

"What?" I said groggily, having just been woken up.

"Wake up, Fizz!" It was my best friend and room mate Madeline. "Do you know what day it is?"

"No, and I couldn’t give a rat's ass either. And stop calling me Fizz!" She had referred to my high school nickname, which I had earned because while giving a speech, I had let out a big burp. Before the speech, I had drank two cans of coke.

"Sorry, Candi. Anyway, it’s the Backstreet Boy concert!!!"

"Whoopee." I said sarcastically. "Didn’t I say I wasn’t going?"

"Look, if you're still depressed over Billy, get over him! You know I've bought tickets! Besides, they are front row! With BACKSTAGE PASSES!" Billy, my ex of 1 year, had dumped me the day before.

"Maddy, you're meant to be 19 and you sound like a 12 year old teenybopper! Besides, I don't think I can handle thousands of pre-teens screaming their heads of!"

"I can! We are going and that's final! At 4pm, we can choose what we're wearing, then we can go eat and finally to the concert! It starts at 8pm by the way."

"You are impossible, Maddy!"

"I know!"

~~**  4pm **~~

We were in my bedroom trying out clothes. I was depressed over my break up and Maddy was trying to cheer me up.

"Come on, Candi! You've gotta get over that loser! One look at Nick Carter and you'll be over Billy in no time!"

"Hey! I'm not the one who's obsessed here!"

"You're not obsessed? What do you call all the posters of Nick around you room, huh?"

"At least I can still see the walls! You've got your whole room plastered in pictures of him."

Maddy giggled. "Okay, maybe I'm a little obsessed over him, but you gotta admit, he is somethin' fine!"

"Well, you're right there!" Finally, after much fussing about, we had decided what to wear. Maddy, being the obsessed girl she is, wore Nick's favorite color, dark green. She wore a green spaghetti strap dress and an even darker green cardigan. Even though I liked Nick too, I wasn't as obsessed. I wore a short dark blue skirt, a long sleeved, white t-shirt and a short sleeved, see-through, light blue silk button-up shirt over it. "Time for make up and hair!"

I did Maddy's hair first. She had long red hair which was curly. It didn't really need doing. She had the type of hair which would probably look good if she just woke up. This also included her looks and her figure. She was a guy magnet. She was nice but sometimes she could be really annoying. Anyway, we washed it, then blow dried it. We then put some glittery green clips in her hair and she was done. All this green really set off her eyes, they were green as well.

My hair now. I had dark layered shoulder length hair which had a few purple and blue streaks running through it. After the routine washing and blow drying, Maddy decided to clip half of it back with my blue butterfly pins and leave the rest down. We did our makeup ourselves. Maddy put on some green eye shadow, mascara and raisin lipstick. As usual, she looked absolutely stunning. I wasn't that bad either, but I wasn't drop dead gorgeous like her. I'm almost certain that Nick will notice Maddy first. I put on some pink lip gloss, mascara and blue eye shadow. Most of the time, I put on blue eye shadow. It set of my eyes well. That's what people usually notice first about me, my eyes. They were a dark violet blue color, depending on the mood I'm in.

As we put on our shoes, (Maddy wore a pair of black (yeah I know, not green!) high heeled sandals while I wore a pair of blue platforms), I asked her, "Why are we even getting dressed up? It's not like they'll notice us."

"We do have backstage passes, you know."

"So? They'll probably be swamped by a hundred 12 year olds. How did you get the tickets anyway?"

"My mum knows one of the BSBs' managers' friends' cousin."

"Wow! And she still got tickets?"

"Yep! And I'm glad. I had been raving about the concert for weeks anyway, and I think I was gonna drive my parents insane if I didn't go."
