Finally, the end had come and we hurried off backstage. After showing the security guards our passes, we were allowed in. All the BSB were there, and there were about 20 other fans. I had expected there to be more but I rushed over to Nick, with Candi following. There were about five 12 year olds surrounding him but they soon left. "Hi! I'm Maddy!"
"Oh, hi! You were the girl I sung to in I'll Never Break Your Heart, right?"
"Yeah, you remembered!"
Candi's P.O.V. -
I stood next to Maddy, while she chatted away. I noticed
that she was doing most of the talking while Nick was just staring. Let's
just say Maddy's dress was a little low cut! I was starting to get bored,
so I pretended I needed to go to the toilet and walked away. Outside, the
security guard had gone, leaving me in a hallway with lots of rooms. Luckily
for me, they had signs on the front door. I passed dressing room 1, and
2, a janitor's closet, an empty room and a costume room but I still hadn't
found the toilets. I was nearing the end of the hallway where 2 security
guards were talking. I quickly turned around and walked straight into someone.
"Oh, sorry!" I looked up to see it was Brian Littrell
and almost fell over.
"That's okay. I wasn't paying much attention either."
"Well, I'm Candi!"
"I'm Brian."
"So, I noticed!" I started walking back to the backstage area and he followed.
"What are you doing out here anyway?" he asked.
"My official reason was I'm going to the lady's room but
I just came out 'cos I was sick of my friend drooling over Nick Carter
and him, well, staring at her. You know, I wasn't gonna come in the first
place but my my friend dragged me along." We were back at the backstage
area and I pointed out my friend.
"There's Maddy, and she's still talking to Nick Carter."
"Yeah, I see her. If you don't mind me asking, do you were contacts or something?"
"Nope. My eye color is natural."
"Are you from around here?"
"Yeah, I live on Maple Street."
"Really? Wow! I live there too! I share a condo with Nick and Kevin and AJ and Howie are on the floor below us. I didn't think you were from around here."
"Well, Maddy and I are actually from Australia but we moved over here."
"Today was our last concert so do you wanna go do something tomorrow?"
"Yeah, that'd be great!" We exchanged phone numbers. I couldn't believe that the BSB lived on the same street as us! Wait 'til I tell Maddy! Brian and I talked and goofed around for a while when AJ came over.
"Well, well, Brian! Getting all the pretty ladies today, aren't we?" Brian glared at him while he took my hand and kissed it.
"Hi! I'm AJ, and you are?"
"Candi." I was too shocked to say anything else.
"Aah, yes! You were the lovely lady that I sang to in I'll Never Break Your Heart. I love your hair!"
"Thanks!
We talked for a bit when I realised that most of the other fans had gone and it was midnight. "Maddy and I should be headin' back home. Who wants to come and tear away my obsessed friend form Nick?" I walked over and tapped Maddy on the shoulder but she ignored me. I tried a different approach. "OH MY GOD! Maddy, there's a spider in your hair!"
"WHAT?!? Aarrgghhh! Where? Get it out!!!"
"Well, you finally noticed me, Maddy! It's time to go!" Maddy realised it was all a joke so she decided to take some revenge.
"Shuttup Fizz!"
The rest of BSB had walked over and had heard Maddy calling me Fizz.
"Fizz?" AJ asked. "That's one weird nickname!"
I glared at Maddy, warning her not to tell the story but
she had already started. "Well, in high school, she was meant to do a speech,
and in the middle of it, she let out this really loud burp. She had drunk
two cans of coke before it."
Everyone laughed and I turned an interesting red color.
I decided to get my own sweet revenge as well.
"I'm not the only one with a weird nickname, am I, flyer?" I said, glaring at Maddy. She glared back, with a look that said 'tell-the-story-and-you-die!'
Once again, AJ spoke up, "Flyer? That's worse than Fizz! How'd she get that?"
"In assembly, she was doing a dance routine when she slipped, fell over. Unfortunately, she was wearing a skirt and it sorta flew over her head."
It was Maddy's turn to become a reddy color as everyone laughed. She glared at me and I laughed even more. As we left, Brian said he would call me.
