Purpose of InnerMission
What you can expect from InnerMissionCommitment to Jesus, Growing in His ways and His word as revealed in the Bible
TO BELIEVE every Christian should yearn for continual spiritual
growth, evaluation and accountability. Every person should be able to see growth in their
life as they choose to participate in the vision set forth by the Body. Therefore,
discipleship though consistent gathering, small groups, accountability, counseling,
worship and evangelism and servanthood is critical to maturing in our faith.
(Mark 12:29-31; Acts 2:44-47; 1 Peter 2:2; 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Proverbs 27:17).
TO BELIEVE that genuine love and caring relationships are the key to
becoming who were supposed to be. We refuse to give audience to self-pity,
negativity, complaining or gossiping. We will instead be courageous in solving every
problem by the direction of the Holy Spirit and in a way that honors God and builds
character. We value healthy relationships by protecting the unity of the Spirit in our
church.
(James 1:2-3; 1 Peter 3:8-9;
1 Corinthians 13:8, Romans 16:17;
Ephesians 4:3).
Commitment to discovering, developing, and practicing our gifts through serving
TO BELIEVE that every member is a minister who has been given gifts to
be discovered, developed, and released. We are not a church based on weekly lectures. Each
believer will find his greatest joy and fulfillment when serving in his spiritual gifts
and passion. Every believer is created for ministry, gifted for ministry, authorized for
ministry, and needed for ministry.
(Mark 10:45; Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12:14-20).
Commitment to Sharing your Faith
TO BELIEVE that every person, Christian and non-Christian alike, is
valuable to God and to His Kingdom. Because people are eternally valuable to God, they are
to us as well. Effective evalgelism and ongoing discipleship will always be my reason for
being here.
(Matthew 18:14, Matthew 25:24; 1 Peter 3:9).
Isaiah 61:1-4
1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed
me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to
proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are
bound; 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance
of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3To appoint unto them that mourn in
Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of
praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the
planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4And they shall build the old
wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste
cities, the desolations of many generations.
John 14:6
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Matthew 19:26
26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With
men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
1 Peter 4:8-10
8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall
cover the multitude of sins. 9Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10As
every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good
stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 John 1:7
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one
with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Romans 12:9-21
9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to
that which is good. 10Be kindly affectioned one to another with
brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12Rejoicing in hope; patient in
tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13Distributing to the necessity of
saints; given to hospitality. 14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and
curse not. 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16Be
of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low
estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17Recompense to no man evil for evil.
Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it be possible, as much as
lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, avenge not
yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is
mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed
him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his
head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Philippians 2:1-8
1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of
love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2Fulfil ye my
joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4Look not every
man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even
the death of the cross.
Ephesians 4:13
13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
2 Corinthians 9:11-12
11Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us
thanksgiving to God. 12For the administration of this service not only
supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
2 Corinthians 4:15
15For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might
through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
Romans 12:4-8
4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same
office:
1 Corinthians 12:7
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
Matthew 25:21
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good
and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler
over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mark 12:29-31
29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first
commandment. 31And the second is like, namely
this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater
than these.
Acts 2:44-47
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45And
sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had
need. 46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking
bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47Praising
God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as
should be saved.
1 Peter 2:2
2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow
thereby: 3If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Timothy 4:7-8
7But refuse profane and old wives fables, and exercise thyself rather
unto godliness. 8For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is
profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is
to come.
Proverbs 27:17
17Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
James 1:2-3
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations
1 Peter 3:8-9
8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love
as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9Not rendering evil for
evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto
called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
1 Corinthians 13:8
8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall
fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be
knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Romans 16:17
17Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences
contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Ephesians 4:3
3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Mark 10:45
45For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,
but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Ephesians 2:10
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Romans 12
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man
that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but
to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For
as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So
we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let
us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7Or ministry, let us
wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8Or he
that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he
that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. 9Let
love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10Be
kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11Not
slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12Rejoicing in hope;
patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13Distributing to the
necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14Bless them which persecute you:
bless, and curse not. 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them
that weep. 16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high
things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17Recompense
to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18If it
be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly
beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is
written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if
thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt
heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil
with good.
1 Corinthians 12:14-20
14For the body is not one member, but many. 15If the foot shall say,
Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16And
if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not
of the body? 17If the whole body were an eye, where were the
hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18But
now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19And
if they were all one member, where were the body? 20But now are they
many members, yet but one body.
Matthew 18:14
14Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in
heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Matthew 25:24
24Then he which had received the one talent came and
said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and
gathering where thou hast not strawed:
1 Peter 3:9
9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise
blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
