The TGSF Halloween Party was held at Carla's in San Jose on Saturday, October 24, a week ahead of the actual holiday. I had prepared by obtaining a gown and accessories from I Love It! boutique, with the tiarra and wand custom made by the proprietor, Lu An. I had also found a pair of white pumps with 3-1/2 inch heels, which I spray painted silver. I wore silver flake nail polish, some silver flakes over my facial makeup, and silver lipstick. Since it had been threatening rain earlier, I wore an overcoat over my dress. I made sure that I had cameras with me to record the event.
In my usual frantic manner, I had misplaced the new wand, and couldn't find the wand from my outing three years earlier, so I was unfortunately left without any magic powers. I left my house over an hour later than I had planned to, and walked to the nearest BART station, since the buses that would take me directly to BART do not run on the weekends. I rode the train to the end of the line, and discovered that the bus from there to San Jose had left on schedule two minutes earlier! I had to wait over 30 minutes for the next bus.
