Calvin W. Jordon,76 of Sherbrooke,died Monday, April 27,
in St.Mary`s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Thorburn, he was the son of the late Alexander and Jessie {MacLeod} Jordan.
He was a resident of Sherbrooke all his married life,
where he was an elder and choir member of St. James Presbyterian Church;
member of Florence Fraser Chapter Order of the Eastern Star;
Queen`s Masonic Lodge No.34 and St. Mary`s Male Choir.
He retired as a telephone pioneer from Maritime Tel and Tel Limited.
He served on the Board of Directorsof St. Mary`s Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by three daughters,
Jean{Mrs. Robert Robichaud}Sherbrooke;
Jessie{Mrs. Bill Johnson}Wales,U.K.;
and Katherine,at home;
two grandchildren,
three sisters,Kathryn {Mrs. Dean MacAdam},New Glasgow,
Isabel{Mrs. Robert Nason},Thorburn,
and Florence {Mrs. Harlan Baker}Sydney.
He was predeceased by his wife,the former Winnifred Mortimer;
two sisters, Beatrice Bowser and Muriel Carroll

Sherbrooke -- Winnifred Jordan, 63, of this community,
died Wednesday in St. Mary`s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Sherbrooke, she was the daughter of the late Emma Mortimer.
She was a resident of Sherbrooke all her life
and a member of St. James Presbyterian Church.
She was a former secretary of the Parent and Teacher Association
and a member and secretary of Florence Fraser Chapter,
Order of Eastern Star, for a number of years.
She was active in community work.
She is survived by her husband,Calvin W.;
three daughters,
Jean{Mrs. Robert Robichaud}, Sherbrooke;
Jessie {Mrs. Bill Johnston},Kitchener, Ont.;
Katherine ,at home;
a granddaughter; a grandson.
