Born in Halifax, she was the eldest daughter of
Laura (Dolan) Gentles and the late Arthur Gentles.

Gloria (Mrs. David Dempsey), Halifax; Betty Lou
(Mrs. Philippe Tremblay), St. Bruno, Que.; Paulette (Mrs. Lowell Goulden),
Dartmouth; brothers, Donald, Laurie, Ronald, Halifax;
Jack, Trenton, Ont.; Leonard, Berwick; many aunts, uncles,
nieces and nephews; stepsisters, Sister Donna,
Prince George, B.C.; Susan, Marcie, Halifax; stepbrother,
William, Halifax; stepdaughters, Barbara, Joan, Halifax;
stepson, Gordon, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home,
6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church,
Dutch Village Road, Rev. John Williams officiating. Cremation to follow.
Burial at a
later date in St. Agnes Church Cemetery, Little Dover,
Guysborough Co. In lieu of flowers, donations to
Canadian Cancer Society or St. Lawrence Family Centre.
