Passed suddenly on Sunday afternoon, June 20th, 2004
at the Timmins & District Hospital in his 87th year.
Beloved husband of the Late Alice Fraser (nee Polmateer) 1999.
Predeceased by son’s Tom (wife Grace) 2000,
Jim (wife Gail) 2000, and Gary (wife Jane) 1993.
Survived by Tim (Anne) Fraser of Chesley,
Eva (Roy) Saari of South Porcupine,
Barry (Mary Louise) Fraser of Mount Hope,
Wendy (Michael) Boakes of Heidelberg,
Christopher (fiancé Lesa Hall) Durham, North Carolina,
Anna (Dan) Costello of Nanaimo, BC, and Allison (Dave) Ethier of Barrie.

He also leaves behind 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his brothers Harold, Bruce, and Bob
as well as his sisters Bertha Cora Marjorie and Jean.
Roy will be sadly missed by his good friends
Mike Whalen, Bill Helin, Arvo Turkki,
Dale Doherty and Alfie Norkum.

Roy was born in Waternish, Guysbourough County, Nova Scotia.
He moved to Ontario when he was 20 years of age
and spent most of his life in the Matheson area before moving
to South Porcupine 3 years ago. The family would like to thank
Bingham Memorial Hospital, Timmins and District Hospital,
Dr. Labelle, Continuing Care and Red Cross.
Remembrance donations may be made
through the funeral home to Bingham Memorial Hospital will be greatfully acknowledged
by the family. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life
will be held on Saturday June 26th at 1:00PM
in the Stinson Funeral Home Chapel
interment to follow at Watabeag Cemetery with
Rev. Janet Petrie officiating. The family will receive friends
from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Friday evening and Saturday morning 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
