Final Tribute Paid To Daniel Jack

New Glasgow - The death occured at the Aberdeen Hospital April 6
of Daniel Jack in his eighty-ninth year.

He had been in failing health for some time,
but the sudden passing came as a great shock
to his family and friends.

He was born at Liscomb
and lived there for some time before moving
with his family to Melrose.
Later he made his home in New Glasgow with his son.

He is the last surviving member of his family.

He is survived by three sons,
Hughie, in Calgary; Wallace of East River St. Mary's
and Harold in New Glasgow; two daughters,
Pearl(Mrs.Harry Sutherland), North Lochabor; Hattie(Mrs. John Andrews), Montreal.
His wife, a son and a daughter predeceased him a number of years ago.

A short funeral service was held at the home of his son, Harold,
27 Arch St., New Glasgow, with Rev. Joseph Abbott
of St. George's Church conducting.
The remains were taken to the Kirk Memorial Church, Aspen,
where the funeral service was largely attended.
A tribute to the deceased was paid by Mr. Abbott,
who read from the scriptures a message of comfort.
Pall bearers were relatives of the deceased,
Howard Sutherland, Bryce and Buster Jack,
Alvin and Ernest Taylor and Melvin Jordan.
Interment was at Evergreen cemetery, Aspen.
