Margaret E. Hudson
HUDSON, Margaret E. - 88, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home,
formerly of
Church Street, Antigonish, died April 23, 2001,
in the QEII Health
Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Born in North Odgen, Guysborough Co., she was
a daughter of the late
John and Martha (Munro) Jones. Margaret taught
school in Guysborough County
in her early years. She operated a boarding
house in Antigonish
for many years and was renouned for her cooking.
In
her later years, she trained at St F.X. University
and worked in the
Language Lab. She was fond of
bowling and flower gardening. She was a
member of
St James United Church, Antigonish. Surviving are son,
Clarence 'Kenny' (Theresa),
Antigonish; Johnny, Antigonish; Alton
(Carolyn),
Briierly Brook; daughters, Joan (Daniel) McNutt, Truro; Judy
(Paul) O'Leary,
Purl Brook; Cheryl (Roddie) MacDonald, Oakville, Ont.;
sisters,
Martha Cameron, Boston, Mass.; Clara Rhynold, Whitehead,
Guysborough Co.;
brother, Gordon, Ontario; 26 grandchildren; 38
great-grandchildren
and four great-great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by husband, Clarence; son, Floyd;
brothers, John, George,
Leonard, Johnnie, William,
Frederick; sister, Annie Worth. Visitation
will be
in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish,
2-4,
7-9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Funeral service will be on Thursday at 2 p.m.
in
St James United Church, Antigonish.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery,
Country Harbour.
