R. Davidson Passes Away This Morning

Stellarton - Roy Davidson, Albion Road,
died this morning in Aberdeen Hospital
after an illness of several months.

He was born in Goldboro on Jan.11, 1896,
a son of the late Alexander and Margaret(Luddington) Davidson.

He was an adherent of Sharon St. John United Church.

Mr. Davidson worked for Acadia Coal for 45 years,
retiring seven years ago.
He was keenly interested in sports
and was noted for his hunting ability.

He is survived by his wife,
the former Mary Peebles; six daughters,
Mary(Mrs. George MacLean), Josephine(Mrs. Arthur MacKay),
Agnes(Mrs. Robert White), all of Stellarton;
Ruby(Mrs. Vincent Ciossi), Burning Tree, Mass.;
Inez(Mrs. Joseph Murphy), Pembroke, Mass.;
Diane, at home; three sons, Cpl. Eugene Davidson, Greenwood,
Reginald and Leonard, at home;
two brothers, Howard, Somerville, Mass.;
and Alex in Cambridge, Mass.; and 20 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

The remains are resting at the home
and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
