Nellie Mae McKeen

SHERBROOKE - Nellie Mae McKeen, 93, of McKaracher Nursing Home,
formerly of Aspen, Guysborough County,
died Wednesday, Dec. 23 in the home.
Born in Aspen she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (McGrath) McKeen.
She was a resident of Aspen most of her life
and a member of Aspen Baptist Church,
Florence Fraser Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Sherbrooke,
and Sunlight Rebekah Lodge, East River St. Mary's.
For many years she was employed as a hotel waitress.
She is survived by two brothers, Edgar, Sherbrooke, and
Stuart, Aspen;
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Stanley, Vincent, and one in infancy;
three sisters, Stella, Viola MacIntosh, Myrl McKeen.
Her remains have been cremated.
A memorial service will be at a later date in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Stillwater, Guysborough County.
Interment will be in Aspen Baptist Cemetery.
