The death occurred Saturday, March 10, after a short illness,
John Archibald Rood.
Born at Port Hilford 85 years ago,
he was the son of Asa Rood and Janet MacDiarmid Rood.
He spent the greater part of his life at the old home in Port Hilford.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter Janet (Mrs. Henry ….(illegible),
his adopted son, Albert, and …(illegible) grandchildren;
also one brother Aaron Rood, of Sheet Harbor.
The funeral was held from ….home at Port Hilford, Tuesday,
conducted by Rev. George Mallory.
Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery.
