Former Guysborough counselor mourned

Goshen -- David Samuel Archibald, 80,
died in South Lochaber.

Mr. Archibald was a son of the late
John William and Mary Whidden Archibald.

He was well known in eastern Nova Scotia,
particularly in his own county
where he served as counselor for 27 years
for the district of Greenfield,
which comprises Aspen, Glenelg, Millrose, Newton and Smithfield.
He was also a member of St. Mary's municipal school board
for 14 years, retiring from both offices four years ago.

Surviving her two brothers,
John of Hopewell and George in the USA.

The funeral was in Lower Caledonia Presbyterian Church
and was conducted by Mr. Frank Canning of Sherbrooke.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
