Born in Manasette Lake, Guysborough County,
he was a son of the late William P. and Annie S. (Mattie) Diggins.
He was a member of the
St. Francis Harbour Roman Catholic Church, St. Francis Harbour.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Thelma Diggins; 2 daughters,
Marlene (Mrs. Clark England) St. Francis Harbour,
Irene, at home; a son, Billy, Hamilton, Ont.
2 sisters, Lena (Mrs. Ernest Carr) Manasette Lake; Annie
(Mrs. Lewis Grady) St. Francis Harbour; 2 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian;
brother Thomas; grandson, Matthew.
Visitation will be 7 – 9 pm today,
2 – 9pm Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
Funeral will be 11am Thursday in St. Francis Roman Catholic Church,
Rev. Tom MacNeil officiating. Burial will be
in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to
St. Francis Cemetery Fund.
