WILLIAM H. F.HATTIE
Union Centre - William Hugh Ferris Hattie,
71, Union Centre, Pictou County, formerly of Cameron Settlement,
Guysboro County, died Saturday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Cameron Settlement, he was a son of
the late John Dan and Flora (Cameron) Hattie.
He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Caledonia.
He later attended church at Springville,
Hopewell and Middle River.

He worked for many years as a lumberman
and as a school bus driver for 10 years
from Cameron Settlement to St. Mary's Rural High School, Sherbrooke.

He had worked for eight years in Massachusetts,
returning to Pictou County in 1974.

He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Maine;
four step-sons and two step-daughters,
all in New York; five sisters, Viola (Mrs.Harry Archibald),
Oliver, B.C.; Sarah (Mrs. Marshall Porter), and Arlie
(Mrs. George O'Brian), both in Massachusetts; Carrie (Mrs. Russell MacLaughlan),
Glenelg; Margie (Mrs. Joe Archibauld), Cameron Settlement.

The remains are resting in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville,
where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Caledonia Cemetery
