JONES, Dorothy Reynolds - 81, Guysborough,
Died Wednesday, August 12, 1998, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born in Rexton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late
Rev. George S. and Harriete (Bryant) Gardner.
She was an active member and former elder of Wesley United Church, Guysborough.
She was a member of the UCW and was involved in many community organizations.
She graduated from Halifax Academy and attended Dalhousie University.
She had been employed with the Department of Transportation in Guysborough.
She is survived by her daughter, Marion (Robert) Mayfield, Austin, Tex;
Son-in-law George (Nancy) Long, Rochvale, Guysborough Co.;
Sisters, Jean Grant and Marion Gardner, both of Guysborough;
Grandchildren, Linton, Nathaniel, Angela, Tanya and Albert;
Seven great-grandchildren;
Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde;
Daughter, Helen.
Funeral service was Saturday in Wesley United Church, Rev. Doreen Daley officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Wesley United Church, Guysborough, or Point Pleasant Lodge, Halifax.
