HAYNE, Evelyn Pearl - 77, Country Harbour, Guysborough Co.,
died February 22, 1999, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Country Harbour,
she was a daughter of the late Norman MacLeod and Amanda (Robar) Hudson.
She was member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Country Harbour.
In her earlier years, she cooked for the lumber camps and taught school in Country Harbour Mines.
She was an avid bingo player and loved playing cards.
For many years, she was the treasurer of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and a former member of Laurel Rebekah Lodge 101, Goldboro.
She volunteered her time to organizations such as the Country Harbour Gun Club, Greenfield Seniors Club and Country Harbour Cultural Centre.
Surviving are her husband, James McRitchie;
sons, Elliott (Barbara), Norman (Alanna), Blake (Susan), all of Country Harbour;
daughters, Paula Richard, Dartmouth; Valerie Gallen (Kerry), Country Harbour;
brothers, Clarence, Antigonish; Arnold, Country Harbour;
sister, Erma McLaren, Antigonish;
grandchildren, Darcie, Valerie, Nicole, Tara, Claudette, Steven, Charity, Corey, Tiffany, Mandi and Hollie;
great-grandchildren, Melissa, Brittany, Amanda and Victoria;
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by daughter, Cathy Elaine; brother, Percy;
sisters, Gladys and Alice.
Visitation will be today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m., funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m.,
both in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Country Harbour,
Rev. Katherine Greenfield officiating.
Burial in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Country Harbour.
The family requests family flowers only please.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
