G.H. Archibald of Newtown Passes Away

SHERBROOKE - The death of George H. Archibald occurred at St. Mary's Red Cross Hospital, Sherbrooke, April 10 following a short illness.
Born at New Town 67 years ago,
he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Archibald.
He was well known throughout these counties, being a school teacher and checker with Eastern Car Co., Trenton, before being stricken blind some years ago.
He was a member of Bethany United Church, Gladstone LOL No. 89, and Radium IOOF, No. 137.
He is survived by one sister Margaret (Mrs. Dan H. Gunn) of Scotsburn
and by four brothers,
Dan of Belleville, Ont.,
Dr. Edward, Melrose, Mass.,
and Arthur and Ernest of New Town.
Remains are resting at his late home, New Town.
The funeral service will be from Bethany United Church, East River St. Mary at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be in New Town Cemetery where Gladstone LOL will hold the committal service.
