Alice Muriel MacDonald (nee Mitchell)
1908-1978

GLENELG - Mrs. Wally MacDonald died at her home Thursday.
Born in Waternish 69 years ago she was the former
Alice Muriel Mitchell, daughter of the late George W. and Sadie (Smith) Mitchell).
Mrs. MacDonald was a member of Glenelg Presbyterian Church
where she belonged to the WMS and the Rose Auxiliary.
She was a resident of Glenelg since 1943 and a member of the community club.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters;
Helen (Mrs. Bruce Archibald) Glenelg;
Betty (Mrs. Alex MacKenzie) Antigonish;
Joan (Mrs. Alex Sutherland) Plymouth;
four sons: Lt. Col. Bill, Ottawa;
Grant, Elmsdale;
Dr. Earl, Antigonish;
Ralph, at home;
21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Florence MacEachern, Somerville, Mass.;
three brothers: Clarence, Baxter Springs, Kans.;
Waldo and Leo, Orillia, Ont.
She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
The remains are resting at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Stillwater,
with visiting after 2 o'clock Saturday.
Funeral will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock from the Kirk Memorial United Church, Glenelg.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Sherbrooke.
Donations may be made to the St. Mary's Memorial Hospital or a charity of your choice.
