1929-1990



SHERBROOKE - Edward Adam MacKay, 61, of Sherbrooke, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Sherbrooke, he was a son of the late Ernest and Maxine (Burns) MacKay.
He was a life-long resident of Sherbrooke.
He retired with 37 years service as a leading lineman for the Nova Scotia Power Corporation.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 86, Liscombe.
He was an avid salmon fisherman.
He was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Sherbrooke.
He was survived by his wife, the former Shirley Frosst;
a son, Annand, Sherbrooke;
four daughters, Deborah Findlay, Dartmouth;
Heather (Mrs. Keith Laybolt) Indian Harbour Lake;
Shannon (Mrs. Clifton Johnston) Ottawa;
Penny, Sherbrooke;
seven grandchildren;
two sisters, Olive (Mrs. Clarence Croft) and Betty Cook, both of Sherbrooke.
His remains are resting in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Stillwater, Guysborough County,
with Visiting from 7-9 p.m. today.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in St. James Presbyterian Church, Sherbrooke with interment in Riverside Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Association.
