Florence MacDonald dies in Sherbrooke
SHERBROOKE - Florence Margaret Macdonald, 87, of Sherbrooke,
died in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Sherbrooke, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Margaret Jane (Hattie) MacDonald.
She lived in Sherbrooke most of her life.
She was a member of St. John's United Church, Sherbrooke,
where she was church organist for many years.
She was a member of the UCW,
and the Florence Fraser Chapter #47 of the Order of the Eastern Star,
where she had served as past worthy matron.
She was a member of the Women's Institute, the St. Mary's Historical Society,
and the Sunlight Rebekah Lodge #110.
She retired in 1967 after having been employed as the municipal clerk for the municipality of St. Mary's for many years.
She is survived by a brother James W. MacDonald, Amherst.
The body is in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Stillwater, Guysborough County.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. John's United Church,
Rev. Keith Lewis officiating,
with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
