SMITH, Cecil MacDonald - 77, Brookfield, died July 14, 1995,
in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in Sherbrooke,
he was a son of the late Walter and Norma (MacDonald) Smith.
He was a former employee with Colchester East Hants Amalgamated School Board
as a school bus driver for 15 years,
and later worked in the maintenance department for a number of years.
He drove the starting gate for the Truro Raceway and was an avid hunter and bowler.
He was a member of Brookfield Senior Citizens Group;
enjoyed Tuesday night dancing,
and was a member of Queen's Lodge 34, Sherbrooke.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marion Fraser;
daughters, Ida Elizabeth (Mrs. Jimmy Adams) Tatamagouche;
Roberta and companion, Henry Zelasko, Toronto;
sisters, Margaret (Peg) McKinley, Penticton, B.C.;
Joyce (Mrs. Arnold MacIntosh) Waternish, Guysborough Co.;
brothers, Edgar, Kelowna, B.C.;
Bryce, Graham, Sherbrooke.
He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Brown.
Funeral 1 p.m. today in St. James Presbyterian Church, Truro,
Rev. Clair MacLeod and Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.
Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Sherbrooke.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lodge That Gives, South Street, Halifax.
Arrangements under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
