Ruth Joyce Silver (nee McGrath)
1913-1991
SILVER, Ruth Joyce - 78, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish,
formerly of Sherbrooke, died Saturday at the nursing home.
Born in Sherbrooke,
she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Etta (MacDaniel) McGrath.
She was a member of the St. James Presbyterian Church, Sherbrooke
and the Sherbrooke Women's Institute.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Gordon Silver;
two sons, John, Sherbrooke;
Kenny, Dartmouth;
a sister, Mrs. Jean Standley, Marengo, Illinois;
nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth, Ellen;
two brothers, Cecil, Merten.
The body will be cremated. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in
St. James Presbyterian Church,
Rev. David Hayward officiating.
Burial of ashes will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Sherbrooke.
Donations may be made to any charity.
