Tpr. K.R. Wilson Laid to Rest At Sherbrooke

SHERBROOKE - Tpr. Kenneth Richard Wilson, 21 years old,
whose death occurred on the evening of Nov. 10, in an automobile accident about three miles from his home,
was laid to rest in St. James Anglican Cemetery at Sherbrooke,
following the funeral service conducted by Major Merces, Anglican Priest of the Royal Canadian Army,
assisted by Father Matheson, Parish Priest.

Hymns sung by the combined choirs of the Sherbrooke Churches were:
'Safe in the Arms of Jesus' and 'Nearer My God to Thee'.

The pallbearers were Calvin Carroll, Garth MacDonald, Scott Fillian,
Robert Barron, John Bears and David McLane.

The Canadian Legion had a short committal service at the graveside.

Tpr. Wilson is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wilson;
two sisters, Fauline (Mrs. Vernon Sutherland) of Dartmouth;
Eyelene (Mrs. Wesley Fraser) of Waterloo, Ont.;
two brothers, Lewis, Jr., Burnaby, B.C. and Marty at home;
grandparents, Mrs. And Mrs. Kenneth Wilson of Wilson Cove, and Mrs. Walter Cook, Sherbrooke.

Tpr. Wilson was home on leave after serving two years in Fort Gary Horse Regiment in Germany.
