COOKE, Catherine "Martina" - 75, Argyle, Guysborough Co.,
died Monday, May 31, 1999, at St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Kemptown,
she was a daughter of the late Martin and Edna (Conrad) Grace.
She was a mother and homemaker all her life.
Through the years she was active in many things including the Goshen Red Cross, Goshen Home and School, Missionary and the Scout Movement. She also was a Loch Katrine Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Loch Katrine UCW as well as being active in the Argyle Seniors Club and the Argyle Cemetery fundraising committee.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Errington;
daughters, Nancy (Mrs. Jermaine MacDonald), Brierly Brook;
Peggy (Mrs. Bobby MacIssac), Giants Lake;
Rita (Mrs Rev. David Cleveland), Fredericton, N.B.;
Pinky (Mrs. Brian Oliver), Georgefield, Hants Co.;
sons, Wilfred(Ginette), Quebec City;
Donnie (Dianne), Carmen (Mary), both of Truro;
Brian (Mary) Erinville,Guysborough Co.;
Shannon (Anne) Quispamsis, N.B.;
Joseph, at home;
sister, Bertha Hattie, Ontario;
28 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Howard, Wilfred, Arthur and two in infancy; sisters, Rose, Mary, Claire and Louise.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., both from Kings United Church, Loch Katrine, Lewis MacIntosh officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Argyle.
Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to the G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
