Sonora, January 19 ~
The death of John Gale of this place
occurred at his home here on January 10,
after a long period of failing health.
Mr. Gale was born at St. Margaret's Bay 66 years ago.
He was married twice and leaves to mourn,
his wife, the former Bessie Peart of Roachvale,
Guys. Co. and one son; Albert.
The children by his first marriage are; Nora (Mrs. Allen Burns);
Jessie (Mrs. Matthew Mahar), of Sonora;
Louise (Mrs. Lyall Jollotta), St. Mary's River;
Gertie (Mrs. Hans Anderson), Goldenville;
and one son, Earle, overseas.
The funeral was held from the Anglican Church
on Wednesday, January 12,
conducted by Rev. A. Pitcher, Liscomb.
