The death occurred at his home on Jan. 21, of Jas. Clark, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs James MacFarlane of this place, at the early age of thirty three years. The deceased was well known to all in his own and neighboring communities where he will be greatly missed. He was a kind son and brother and a friend to all. He leaves to mourn their loss his parents and a brother Allister, at home; Elmer, Principal of St. Ninian’s Street School, Antigonish; Rhoda, Mrs. Arthur LeBlanc of Timmins, Ont., who arrived home to attend the funeral. Short funeral services were conducted from his late home by Rev. H.E. Colpitts, pastor of Seal Harbor Untied Baptist church, assisted by Rev. E. Monovan, of the Independent Baptist Church, Coddles Harbor. Favorite hymns of the deceased, “O’er Death’s Sea”, and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, were beautifully rendered by Mrs. Bernie Manthorne and Mrs. Harry Manthorne. The lovely floral offerings bore silent tribute to the departed. They were: Spray from Rhoda, Art, and MacFarlane Family; Wreath from the Superintendent and Teachers of St. James United Church, Antigonish; Cut Flowers from the pupils of St. Ninian’s Street School. Pall-bearers were Messrs. Clarence Burke, Fred Crooks, Merril Latham, Douglas, Bernie and Harry Manthorne. Interment was at Seaside Cemetery. Red Divider
