David Reid
REID’S BODY RECOVERED
The body of David Reid, son of Capt. Abner Reid, of the steamer Scotia, who was drowned at the mouth of Country Harbor on Saturday last, was found on Monday, and buried Tuesday from the residence of his father. The sad circumstances attending his death, as well as the popularity of the young man during life, brought together the whole community to pay their last tribute of respect to one who was a universal favorite. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F. O. Weeks, assisted by all the other clergymen of the neighborhood. Much sympathy is expressed for Capt. and Mrs. Reid and their family in their great sorrow.
