Isaac’s Harbour – John Robert Bezanger, 80, Isaac’s Harbour, died Tuesday in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Seal Harbour, he was a son of the late John and Georgina (Horton) Bezanger. He was a retired inspector with the Nova Scotia Power Corp, with whom he was employed for 30 years. He was a member of Isaac’s Harbour United Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and active choir member. He was a member of Stormont Lodge #96, AF and AM, Isaac’s Harbour, and the IOOF Lodge, Evangeline branch, Goldboro. He is survived by his wife, the former Nina Strople, two sons, Eldon, Halifax; Raymond, Isaac’s Harbour; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Ernie Beaton), Lower Sackville; Linda (Mrs. Don Hamm), Ottawa; a brother, James, Vancouver; a sister, Dorothy, Halifax; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Mervin Bruce; a brother, Bert; a sister, Lucy; an infant sister; a granddaughter. The body is in the family residence, Isaac’s Harbour. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Isaac’s Harbour United Baptist Church, Rev. W. Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
