MASON, Maude Othilda ~ 88, Truro, formerly of Cross Roads, Country Harbour, died May 29, 1996, in Hillcrest Manor, Truro. Born in Goldboro, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Leanise (Hayes) Myers. She was an adherent of Cross Roads United Baptist Church; former member of Laurel Rebekah Lodge 101, Goldboro; member of the pioneer chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, Isaacs Harbour; member of Sunset Senior Citizens Club, Country Harbour; member of Cross Roads United Baptist Church sewing Circle and a member of WINS. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George B; daughter, Elaine; sister, Lydia McKenna; brothers, Robert, Stephen, Reginald, George. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Cross Roads United Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Worth officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Cross Roads, Country Harbour. Donations to any charity.
