Wilma Cordelia MacKenzie

MACKENZIE, Wilma Cordelia ~ 85, Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, formerly of Hazel Hill and Goshen, Guysborough Co., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 1998. Born in Upper White Head, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Cordelia (Feltmate) Grover. She was an adherent of Goshen Gospel Church, and a loving wife and mother. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, John, Ocean View Manor; sons, Wentzell (Margaret), Dartmouth, Pastor Chesley (Darlene), Goshen; Daughters May Adair, Elsie (Mrs. Blair Jackson). Both of Halifax; Brenda (Mrs. Wayne Dort), Eastern Passage; daughter-in-law, Pat MacKenzie, Lower Sackville; brothers, Douglas, Cross Roads, Country Harbour; Seward, Goshen; sister, Tena DeYoung, Goshen; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Shirley (Mac); brothers, Robert, Albert, Winslow and two in infancy; sister, Elsie Lester. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday, funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Goshen Gospel Church, Rev. Alex Rockwell officiating, assisted by Pastor Chesley MacKenzie. Interment in Sunset Cemetery, Argyle. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer society of Nova Scotia, Goshen Gospel Church or the Gideons. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
