Elizabeth Margaret Pellerin

PELLERIN, Elizabeth Margaret ~ 89, Larry’s River, Guysborough Co., passed away August 29, 1997, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born at Larry’s River, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Julia (MacKenzie) Fougere. After completing high school in Dartmouth, she attended Nova Scotia Teachers College and then taught for several years in Guysborough County schools. She was a lifelong and active member of St. Peter’s Parish, Larry’s River, where she served as church organist and was a member of the CWL for many years. Surviving are sons, Russell and wife M.C., Antigonish; Basil and wife Grayce Carroll, Gordon and wife Mary, Blair and wife Joanne, all of Larry’s River; daughter Isabelle Heine, Peterborough, Ont; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Percy; brothers, Lavin, John, Leo and Cornelius; grandson, Jean Andre Pellerin; son-in-law, Dr. Henry Heine. Funeral mass was held in St. Peter’s Church, Larry’s River, Rev. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiated. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to the cemetery fund, St. Peter’s Parish, Milford Haven Home for Special Care or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
