in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in Canso, he was a son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Leslie) Armsworthy. He was the owner and operator of Canso Bus Lines and Al's Cabs and Vans until his retirement. He was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Grant; daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Clarence MacDonald), Charlottetown; Dolly Armsworthy, Canso; stepdaughter, Loretta Lambourne, Port Hilford; sons, Adrian, Truro; Seaward, Eric, John, Finlay, Canso; David, Red Deer, Alta.; sisters, Viola (Mrs. Hank Rosene), Oakville, Ont.; Blanche (Mrs. William Newell), Canso; 16 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Dorothy Rice; brothers, Gerald, Robert; sister, Florence. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-9 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday in Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev. Charles Pottie officiating. Burial in Star of the Sea Cemetery. Donations to Star of the Sea building fund or Canadian Diabetes Association.
