HADLEY, Alexander MacKay - 89,
Port Shoreham, Guysborough Co.,
died November 9, 1998, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Port Shoreham he was a son of the late Edmund and Margaret (McKeough) Hadley. He was a retired carpenter and, in the late 1920s, worked on various farms in western Canada. In the 1930s he worked in various lumber camps in Middletown, Guysborough Co. He was a member of Abundant Life Centre, Guysborough. Surviving are daughter, Clara (Mrs. John Hart), Manchester, Guysborough Co.; sons, Bruce, Boylston; Edmund, Port Shoreham; sister, Jane Brown, Armdale; brothers, Jim, Armdale; Steve, Port Shoreham; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Georgina Smith; sister, Annette, Carrie Manthorne; brothers, Bill, John, Ted, Charlie, George. Visitation 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service 2 p.m Wednesday in Boylston United Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Manchester Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
