CARTER, Margaret Angeline - 96, Port Shoreham, Guysborough Co.,
died October 9, 1998, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care,
Guysborough. Born in Manchester, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of
the late John and Louise (MacDonald) Scranton.
Surviving are daughters, Evelyn (Mrs. Robert Brown), Vancouver;
Annie (Mrs. Leonard Gosbee), Truro; Ruth (Mrs. Vincent Delorey),
Mattie Settlement; son, Basil, Lower Sackville; half-sister,
Mrs. Lola Snow, Guysborough; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren;
13 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John W.;
brother, Bernard; half-brother, William; stepbrother, Charlie,
Clarence and Bill Greencorn; half-sister, Nina, Daisy, Liza; step-sisters, Annette
(Greencorn) Thorpe, Chelesy (Greencorn) Hendsbee. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home,
Guysborough, Gordon Hazelwood officiating.
Burial in Manchester Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Nova Scotia; Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch,
or Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.
