Cooper, Robert Roy - 82,
Sonora; died November 16, 1996, at home. Born in Wine Harbour, Guys. Co., he was a son of the late Robert Vincent and Caroline Anne (MacDonald) Cooper. He worked for Foundation Maritime Ltd. for 38 years, retiring in 1979. He served in the Canadian Merchant Marines during the Second World War. Surviving are daughter, Lorraine Cable, Halifax; son, Terry, Halifax; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; a great-grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn (MacDonald) Cooper; brothers, Don, Russell, Tom, Doyle, in infancy; sisters, Theresa Knapp, Blanche Anderson, Marie Burke, Evelyn in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Family memorial service to follow at a later date. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wine Harbour.
