Laing, Byron Raymond - 87,
Dartmouth, died March 28, 1998, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Liscomb, Guys. Co., he was a son of the late Captain James and Hannah (Redmond) Laing. He had worked for the Royal Bank for 41 years, retiring in 1970. Upon retirement, he moved to Liscomb and after 24 years moved to Dartmouth. Surviving are his wife, the former Kathleen Foulton; sister, Myrtle (Mrs. Palmer Croft), Sherbrooke; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Clayton, Ted; sisters, Ruth Evans, Jessie Hattie. Visitation 1:30 - 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Ecum Secum Funeral Home, Sherbrooke, Rev. Ross Hamilton officiating. Burial to follow in St. John’s United Church Cemetery, Liscomb. Family flowers only. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
