MUNROE, Reginald Ambrose - 75,
Whitehead, Guysborough Co.,
died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso.
Born in Whitehead, he was a son of the late Lauden and Violet (Fitzgerald) Munroe.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Port Felix.
A fisherman for most of his life, he also worked on a supply ship
taking supplies up to the Northern Basin.
He was also employed with the Department of Lands and Forests.
He is survived by his wife, the former Linda King;
sons, Troy (Claudette), Port Felix; Nathan, at home; daughter, Marlaine, Petit-de-Grat;
brothers, Russell, Whitehead, Gerald, Dartmouth;
sister, Margaret Whynacht, Lunenburg; grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla;
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Percy and Burns;
half-brothers, Lawrence, Huey and John; half- sister, Tina.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, both in St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
Port Felix, Rev. John MacLeod officiating. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Port Felix.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
or Eastern Memorial Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
