Margaret Mary Kavanaugh, Canso, Dec 3 -
the death of Margaret Mary
Kavanagh,
daughter to Mr and Mrs Herman Kavanagh,
occurred on
Saturday, November 29, at the Annex,
St Martha's Hospital, Antigonish,
where she had been a patient for one week.
Miss Kavanagh was born in Canso
30 years ago,
and for some years had not enjoyed good health,
having been a
patient at the NS Sanatorium, Kentville
about 14 years ago. Three years ago
she joined the staff of A N Whitman and Son Ltd
as saleslady, resigning a
year ago due to ill health.
Possessing a quiet kindly disposition she was a
favorite
with all who knew her, and will be sadly missed.
Her hobby was
poster making and lettering at which she excelled.
She is survived by her
parents , four brothers, William and Kenneth of Halifax,
Cecil and James,
Canso, and two sisters, Catherine and Alice,
also at home. A brother Edward
predeceased her 13 months ago
and a sister Irene about 14 years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church,
Canso on Tuesday morning, December 2 at 9 am.
